The short version
I receive what you send me by email, and the questions you type into the assistant while you use it. The client portal is not open to clients yet. There are no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers on this site. I do not sell anything to anyone, and I do not send marketing email you did not ask for.
Email and the contact form
Today you reach me by email. Email goes to a Gmail inbox, so Google handles it.
The contact form on this site is switched off for now, so nothing is collected through it. When it is on, this section says exactly what it keeps.
I use it to answer you and to scope the work. That is the whole purpose. It is not added to a mailing list and it is not shared with anyone outside this business.
The client portal
This site sets no cookies for visitors today. Sign-in to the client portal is closed, and the portal is not open to clients yet.
When it opens, an account will hold your email, your name, and a scrambled version of your password. The password itself is never stored, and I cannot read it or recover it for you. Signing in will set one cookie, and it will be the only one the site sets. It will hold a random token and nothing else: no name, no email, no tracking identifier. Your browser will not hand it to any other site. The portal will also record the browser and device string your browser sends, so you can recognize your own sessions, and keep a log of sign-in attempts on your email address so that repeated failures can lock the account before someone guesses their way in. This section changes the day the portal opens.
There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to: no cookie here follows you anywhere.
The assistant on this site
The Ask about this site panel answers from what is published on these pages. When it is connected to a language model, the question you type is sent to Anthropic to produce the answer, together with up to six earlier messages from the same conversation, both your questions and the answers. Do not put confidential details into it. Email me instead, which comes straight to me.
Your questions are not stored on my server. The conversation is kept only in that browser tab: closing the panel does not clear it, but reloading the page or leaving the site does. To stop one person from running up a bill, the server holds your network address in memory, with the times of your recent questions, to count requests. After a minute that entry has expired, and it is deleted the next time anyone asks the assistant a question, or when the server restarts. It is never written to disk and never linked to anything else about you.
Who else can see it
Nobody has bought, rented, or been given this data. It is not sold, and it is not traded for anything.
Running a website means some companies necessarily handle parts of it: Vercel, which hosts the site; Google, which carries my email; Anthropic, when the assistant is answering; and Resend, a mail relay, only if the contact form is switched on. They process it to provide their service, not for their own purposes. I would hand data to law enforcement only if legally compelled to.
How long I keep it
Emails are kept in my Google account while I may still need them to answer you or to service the work. Ask and I will delete them. When the portal opens, accounts will last as long as the engagement.
Asking for your data back, or deleted
Email me and ask. I will tell you what I hold on you, or delete it, whichever you asked for. No form, no account required, and it does not cost anything.
If you have asked and I have not sorted it out, say so plainly in a reply and it goes to the top of the pile.
Children
This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect anything from them.
When this page changes
If what I collect changes, this page changes on the same day, and the date at the bottom moves. I will not quietly widen what I do with your data and leave the old wording up.
